SUBLIME SYNAESTHESIA 02

Sublime Synaesthesia 2.1 deals with growth in high altitude environments and the unique interactions between natural ecosystems and human intervention. Sublime Synaesthesia 2.1 is based on research and fieldwork in the area of Folldal and Dovre, and focuses on disused industry in mountain areas and the scars it has left on the landscape. Even after decades of inactivity, little grows in many of these areas, apart from small patches of lichen. The works explore this strange meeting point between nature and the remains of industrial processes, and by using artificial intelligence we imagine a future with adapted ecosystems recolonized by hybrid species.
